It is a known fact that Saudi Arabia is one of the major backers of the alliance in Syria known as Jaish al-Fateh (the army of conquest), that is dominated by Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (Nusra or Al-Qaeda in Syria), Ahrar al-Sham, child beheaders Nourredin Zinki & other Jihadist factions including what’s left of the now dissolved ISIS affiliate Jund al-Aqsa. And everybody knows that the man who is the brainchild of Jaish al-Fateh is the Syria based Saudi Sheikh Abdallah al-Muhaysni who is the alliance’s leading Sharia judge and it’s chief recruiter , inciter and fundraiser. Jaish al-Fateh’s successes on the battlefield are solely due to the willingness of young men to do suicide missions by driving VBIEDs straight into the enemy causing huge explosions that leave soldiers in confusion and shock. Saudi Arabia is fully aware that Jaish al-Fateh relies on this method of warfare and has never had an issue with it until now.
Yesterday, Saturday October 29, Muhaysni posted on his twitter a video showing himself with a young Saudi fighter in which he congratulates the latter’s mother on her son’s about to be attained martyrdom. He also assured the boy’s mother that he will get his virgins. I have added sub-titles to part of the video in this tweet:
What happened next is unbelievable. The Saudi media went haywire condemning the kingdom’s prodigal son Muhaysni for it. In an article in Okaz, the following was written:
“In the framework of what is called the “epic battle of Aleppo”, the Saudi takfiri cleric Abdallah al-Muhaysni, who is based in Syria, sent a Saudi fighter who is a member of Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (formerly Nusra) to complete a suicide mission against the Syrian Army in Aleppo yesterday”.
Another Saudi news website Mapnews wrote:
“The terrorist Abdallah al-Muhaysni who is based in Syria within the ranks of Jabhat Fateh al-Sham appeared in a video in which he is seen inciting a Saudi teenager to kill himself in a suicide mission”.
Leading Saudi journalist Saleh al-Sagabi tweeted:
“If things are really as you say they are, Abdallah al-Muhaysni, then why don’t you go on a suicide mission and leave Abdul Rahman (boy) to his mother. I ask God to protect Breida (boy’s town) and the nation from your evil and your father’s evil.”
In the Saudi owned MBC TV’s newscast, the anchor woman said:
“Saudis have condemned Abdallah al-Muhaysni for posting a video in which congratulated the mother of a suicide fighter for her son’s going to paradise. Rather than he himself going on the mission, he sent a boy who seems to be very young.”
Since 2011 the government of Saudi Arabia has been supporting terrorist groups in Syria that have sent hundreds if not thousands of young men to their deaths in this manner and the Saudis have known this from the start. I don’t recall ever seeing any Saudi official or journalist making an issue of it. This is very hypocritical to say the least. All the young men who died in this way didn’t matter to them and now, just because it has been announced publicly that a Saudi was sent on a suicide mission, they are making a big deal? Muhaysni, a Wahhabi whose ideology is in no way different from his masters in Saudi Arabia, is now a takfiri and a terrorist? If that’s the case, the Saudi government has to stop backing Jaish al-Fateh. Muhaysni is Jaish al-Fateh. Without him, there would be no Jaish al-Fateh. But will they? Of course not.
